One of our core values is to collaborate with like-minded organisations to ensure a standard of excellence which is in the best interests of all those affected by ageing-related neurological disorders.
Whether participating in Brain Awareness Week events, parliamentary debates, memory walks, public forums, or giving presentations on cutting-edge research we are always willing to get involved and stand alongside the many stakeholders we serve.
With researchers across the length of New Zealand, you can often find us running or participating in a community event near you.
Each year, our researchers dedicate a significant amount of their time to sharing their research and scientific knowledge with community groups, NGOs and the general public. We are also dedicated to helping New Zealand’s health workforce stay up-to-date with new knowledge and equipped to provide the best dementia care to ageing New Zealanders.
Our public forums provide:
- Information about the latest research into Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, stroke, Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease
- Opportunities to ask questions of, and provide feedback to, some of New Zealand’s best neuroscientists and clinicians regarding your experience as a carer, family member, or individual affected by brain disease
- Opportunities to extend your support network
- Opportunities to participate in leading New Zealand-based research
