Our Research
Brain Research New Zealand’s research programme is devoted to improving our understanding of ageing-related neurological diseases: what causes them, how they progress, and why brain cells are affected and die as a result. Armed with this greater knowledge, we aim to develop better ways of identifying disease at its very earliest stage so we can start treatment earlier, when it will help you most. Beyond early detection, we are also committed to developing new treatments and interventions that can help stave off ageing-related cognitive decline, to keep your brain healthy for longer.
