PhD students are vital part of BRNZ’s ongoing success. Each year, we have over a hundred postdoctoral students studying under the supervision of one of our Principal or Associate Investigators.
If you are interested in starting a PhD, please get in touch with a potential supervisor to discuss your proposed project. You can find a full list of our Principal and Associate Investigators – all talented and knowledgeable supervisors – on the “Our Researchers” page, along with their area of expertise.
All students studying under a BRNZ supervisor will become part of a vibrant national research centre, with regular opportunities to: develop leadership skills; learn new research techniques; travel and build their own national and international networks; and to share their knowledge with school children and members of the community.
Every one to two years, we also offer highly prestigious PhD scholarships for talented doctoral students studying at any of our collaborating institutions: the University of Auckland; the University of Otago; University of Canterbury and Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
